The future looks great! Field service
representative, engineering technician, quality control technician,
electrical designer - these are just some of the titles you could have.
Experts from the U.S. Department of Labor predict that employment of electrical technicians will increase much faster than the average for all occupations, due to increased demand for computers, communications equipment, military electronics, and electronic consumer goods. All college students need to consider carefully the program they choose, and this is especially true in two-year programs such as EET. The courses you will be taking have been designed to provide you with the job skills now and are not designed to transfer to most four-year programs in engineering, although UC's College of Applied Science currently accepts these credits toward a bachelor's degree. So if you change your mind about your major, and many people do, be sure to see your advisor as soon as possible. If you are uncertain about your future career, just call one of Clermont's career counselors who can help you make the best possible choice for your future.
